Design Revision & Remake Policy – China Dental Design
At China Dental Design, we pride ourselves on the precision of our digital CAD files. We understand that in digital dentistry, digital fit and software compatibility are paramount. Our policy is designed to offer complete peace of mind to our US B2B partners, ensuring that your in-house milling process runs flawlessly based on our exported designs.
1. Digital Fit Guarantee
We guarantee that our CAD files (STL/PLY/DCM) will accurately reflect your written Rx instructions and perfectly align with the intraoral scans provided. If a digital design requires adjustments due to a lab misinterpretation or parameter error, we will revise the CAD file at no additional charge.
- Crown & Bridge CAD: Guaranteed for accurate margins, contacts, and occlusion.
- Implant CAD (Custom Abutments & Bars): Guaranteed for proper emergence profile and screw-hole angulation.
- Clear Aligners & Retainers: Guaranteed for accurate staging and fit based on the initial post-ortho scan.
2. Free Design Revisions
Digital cases will be revised and re-exported at no cost under the following conditions:
- The digital design deviates from the original written prescription/instructions.
- The digital contacts or occlusion are excessively heavy or open based on the original bite scan provided.
- The exported file is incompatible or fails to slice correctly in your CAM software due to our export error.
- We failed to apply your specific, pre-saved machine milling parameters (e.g., wrong cement gap or drill compensation).
3. Chargeable Redesigns
Complete redesigns will be charged at 50% to 100% of the original design fee in the following scenarios:
- New Scans / Prep Change: The clinician re-preps the tooth or takes a new intraoral scan after the initial CAD file was delivered.
- Rx Change: The lab or clinician requests a completely different type of restoration (e.g., changing from a single crown to a bridge) after the design has been completed.
- “Proceed Anyway” Cases: If our CAD team notified you of a distorted scan, unclear margin, or bite discrepancy, but we were instructed to “proceed anyway,” the resulting redesign is billable.
4. How to Request a Revision
Because we operate as a 100% digital offshore partner, resolving issues is instant and requires zero shipping.
Step 1: Digital Assessment
Simply take a screenshot of the design issue (either in your 3Shape/Exocad viewer or a photo of the milled result on the die) and email it to direct@chinadentaldesign.net along with the Case ID.
Step 2: Rapid Re-design
Our Quality Control team will review the request immediately.
A) If it is a design oversight, we will prioritize the case and return the revised STL file within 12 hours.
B) If the issue stems from a distorted initial scan, we will request you to upload the new scan data to your secure portal.
5. Account Credit Policy
Because we provide custom digital B2B services, we do not offer cash refunds. Instead, if a case is cancelled before completion or an approved claim is made, the amount will be credited to your account balance (Store Credit). This credit will automatically be deducted from your next monthly CAD invoice.
