- Can the patient actually eat with this appliance?
If your lab mills the file from high-quality Multilayer PMMA or flexible Acetal resin, yes, the patient can confidently eat soft foods. If it is 3D printed with standard draft resin, it must be considered for temporary esthetic use only. - Does the design cover the palate?
Absolutely not. Our digital designs are strictly “tooth-borne” (covering only the teeth and extending slightly over the gingival margin into the undercuts). This makes the appliance incredibly comfortable and ensures the patient will not develop a lisp.
